The Bespoke Colouring Book by Ian Beck

Popular initially among children, coloring books have now become highly popular among adults today. Often used as a way to manage stress or relax, these adult coloring books are a little different from those many remember from their childhoods. The books are often themed and much more detailed than those from childhood, but they also allow adults to reminisce over childhood and feel like a child again. Though these coloring books can typically be found in a typical bookstore, one book has risen above.

For $30,000, you can have a custom coloring book created for you by the renowned Ian Beck. Famous for his illustrations for children’s books, magazines and Elton John’s album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. This new coloring book, The Bespoke Colouring Book, will only include ten handcrafted and customizable pages inside.

As the first luxury coloring book, the piece itself must impress. Each page is handcrafted and then hand drawn by Beck, and the book itself is bound in leather. The cover will have the recipient’s name lettered in 24-carat gold foil. The book hopes to cash in on the popular trend for adult coloring books.

Another distinction between this luxury coloring book and a typical one, is that Ian Beck will personally meet with the buyer in order to personalize each page. The pages will reflect important places, events, and people that make the book truly theirs.

Beck is overjoyed to be a part of the project saying, “I am delighted to be a part of this project. I anticipate that the type of subjects people would like to have illustrated include: a portrait of themselves; pets; home; favorite holiday resort; family at their favorite restaurant; cottage in the country, etc. This is an amazing keepsake and heirloom in the making for the family.”

The coloring book is being sold on the VeryFirstTo website at http://www.veryfirstto.com/never-done-before/the-worlds-most-luxurious-colouring-book-with-bespoke-illustrations-by-ian/.
